Penyuluhan Masyarakat Mengenai Penyakit Degeneratif, Kepatuhan Minum Obat, Dan Konsep Taman Obat Keluarga (Toga)

Abstrak

High blood pressure, coronary heart disease, diabetes mellitus, cholesterol, and even cancer are some of the disease groups that occur in Indonesian society. This community service activity was carried out with the aim of educating the public about degenerative diseases, prevention efforts, increasing public awareness about compliance with drug consumption for the success of disease therapy and educating the public about family medicinal plants that have benefits that can be used in the therapy of degenerative diseases. This activity was carried out in Sukajadi Village, Alang-Alang Lebar Subdistrict, Palembang City. The activity was carried out in 2 stages, namely stage 1 counseling on the introduction of degenerative diseases, how to prevent them and efforts to increase public awareness in compliance with drug consumption for successful therapy. Stage 2 introduction to the concept of family medicine garden (TOGA) and its benefits, as well as the introduction of various plants and their chemical content that can function as active substances that have therapeutic effects for various diseases, one of which is degenerative disease.
